#131   Beets & Blackberries

with Daily Roots Juice (100% Vegetable Juice + Boosts, Antioxidant)

Another healthy juice suited for a Halloween celebration

Halloween is getting close, and you may help your children refrain a bit on all those candies they are going to collect. Just fill their bellies, before they are out and about treat-or-tricking, with something substantial and healthy.

If your children are old enough, and you are not against creepy and bloody costumes and jokes, you can even play with them by pouring some of the juice outside the glass and letting it run down a paper towel. Make it sure, however, before you do it, that you really know your children and their reactions to different situations.  You don't want them to feel disgusted, or even scared, and acquire an aversion and fear for all juices because of this joke! (If they were my children, old enough, and not scared of blood, I might play with them, but I would definitely NOT surprise them with the joke already done.)

Beets & Blackberries
with Daily Roots Juice (100% Vegetable Juice + Boosts, Antioxidant)

Picture from Google Images
Ingredients
• 1 Beet, small, washed, peeled, cut in pieces (3.28 oz) (40.42 Cal)
• 10 Blackberries (1.98 oz), washed (24 Cal)
• 1 cup of Daily Roots 100% Vegetable Juice + Boosts (Bolthouse Farms)
• 5 cubes of Ice*
• ¼ cup of Water

How to Prepare It
Put all the ingredients inside the cup of a small blender (or the single serve cup of a regular blender) and blend everything very well for at least 30 seconds. For a better result, put the ice cubes between the beet and the rest of the ingredients.

*Note 1: The ice helps to better grind the ingredients.
Note 2: You can strain the juice, but it's not necessary.

Beterraba & Amora-Preta
