300 Juices and Counting: Meet Eneida

Hi there!

I am Eneida, the author of this blog and all the recipes I publish here.

I am Brazilian and lived in Brazil until the end of 2001 when I moved to the United States and married Bruce, my American husband of 14 years, now. I have a wonderful son, Diego, who is now 35 years old and lives in Brazil with his wife Isabel.

Isabel was the one who inspired this blog. She would prepare daily juices for me when she and my son visited us in 2015. Soon after they left back to Brazil, I had the idea of creating this blog.

I worked ten years for the Denver Public Library, in Denver, Colorado, and retired in February 2015. My job was great, and I had a lot of fun reading for the children and singing with them. I also used to plan and conduct other programs for children, as well as for adults and teens, including uncountable craft sessions. I usually had fun working, but I also wanted to have more free time to dedicate to photography, arts, crafts, cooking, writing, gardening and taking the road with my husband and our cat. That's why I decided to retire when I was able to.

I love creating recipes, and that’s what makes this blog different from the other recipe blogs you'll find online. Here I share “experiments” with you, and not recipes already tested and approved.

Sou Eneida, autora deste blog e de todas as receitas que publico aqui.

Sou brasileira e vivi no Brasil até o final de 2001, quando me mudei para os Estados Unidos e casei com o Bruce, meu marido americano de 14 anos, agora. Tenho um filho maravilhoso, Diego, que está agora com 35 anos e vive no Brasil com a mulher dele, Isabel.

Foi a Isabel quem inspirou este blog. Ela preparava sucos para mim diariamente, quando ela e o Diego vieram nos visitar em 2015. Logo depois de eles voltarem para o Brasil, tive a ideia de criar este blog.

Trabalhei durante dez anos para a Biblioteca Pública de Denver, em Denver, Colorado, e -aposentei-me em fevereiro de 2015. Meu trabalho era muito bom, e eu me divertia muito lendo em voz alta para as crianças e cantando com elas. Também planejava e conduzia outros programas para crianças, bem como para adultos e adolescente, incluindo inúmeras sessões de artesanato. Em geral, divertía-me muito no trabalho, mas também queria ter mais tempo livre para me dedicar à fotografia, às artes, ao artesanato, a cozinhar, escrever, jardinar e viajar de carro com meu marido e nosso gato. Foi por isso que decidi me aposentar quando foi possível.

Adoro criar receitas, e é isso que faz este blog diferente dos outros blogs de receitas que você encontra na Internet. Aqio eu compartilho "experiências" com você, e não receitas já testadas e aprovadas.
