#117   Colorado (Byers-grown) Melon* & Tomato

with Mint

When I thought of trying this recipe, I actually couldn't believe it would turn out good. Nevertheless (since the main goal of this blog is to experiment with almost every mixture I can think of, regardless if it sometimes can sound a little crazy), I decided to give it a try. Surprisingly, it resulted in one of the best combinations of ingredients I've experimented so far. It's tasty, light and still low in calories. A great juice!

*If you don't have access to this particular melon, just use Cantaloupe instead. The Byers-grown melon is sweeter and tastier than the regular Cantaloupe, but both have similar flavors.

Colorado (Byers-grown) Melon & Tomato
with Mint

Ingredients
• 5 oz of Colorado (Byers-grown) Melon, washed, peeled, cut in pieces (48.28 Cal)
• 3 oz of Tomato, washed, cut in pieces (15.3 Cal)

• 1 leaf of fresh Mint, washed (0.31 Cal)
• 5 cubes of Ice*
• 1
½ cup of Water

How to Prepare It
Put all the ingredients inside the cup of a small blender (or the single serve cup of a regular blender) and blend everything very well for at least 1 minute. For a better result, put the ice between the layers of melon and tomato.

*Note 1: The ice helps to better grind the ingredients.
Note 2: You can strain the juice, but it's not necessary.
